Kraken Wrap Up Road Trip With A Nail Biting 2-1 Loss To The Jets.

Winnipeg, MB - The Seattle Kraken finished their first road trip of 2025 Thursday night in Winnipeg, facing the Jets and top goalie Connor Hellebuyck.

Matty Beniers netted the Kraken's first and only goal against Hellebuyck in the first period, assisted by Jaden Swartz and Kaapo Kakko. Beniers has tallied two goals in the last three games.

Mark Scheifele's power play goal tied it 1-1 in the second, but with just 27 seconds left, Dylan DeMelo scored the game-winner past Kraken goalie Joey Daccord. It was DeMelo’s third career game-winner and his 600th NHL game.

The Kraken return home from their five-game road trip with two wins, but fall short of the much-needed points. Seattle will host the Los Angeles Kings Saturday night at Climate Pledge Arena, with puck drop scheduled for 7 PM PST.
