Kraken Rock The Hurricanes In Thrilling 4-2 Victory In Carolina.

Raleigh, NC - The Seattle Kraken kicked off their four-game road trip with a new mentality, dominating the Hurricanes 4-2 in Carolina on Tuesday. After a three-game losing streak, players and coaches had been vocal about the team's recent lack of urgency and consistency.

Jaden Schwartz wasted no time, firing the Kraken's first goal just 19 seconds into the game with a wicked snap shot past Canes' goalie Pyotr Kochetkov. Yanni Gourde and Matty Beniers earned assists on the play. But at 4:56, Eric Robertson answered back, tying the game with a wrist shot past Joey Daccord.

Frustrated, Carolina pulled Kochetkov for the extra man, but Seattle's defense held strong to secure the 4-2 win. Carolina's 16 shots on goal were their lowest of the season.

Key Moments: HC Dan Bylsma challenged the Canes' third-period goal, which would have given them a 3-2 lead. The call was overturned, and 40 seconds later, the Kraken scored to take a 3-2 lead.

Matty Beniers dominated in face-offs and shined on his new line with Jaden Schwartz and Yanni Gourde.
