The Seattle Kraken have reassigned eight players to the Coachella Valley Firebirds.

The eight players who have been cut from the Kraken roster are Victor Ostman, Jack LaFontaine, Ty Nelson, Tucker Robertson, Ian McKinnon, Jagger Firkus, David Goyette and Logan Morrison.

Firkus, Nelson, Goyette, and Ostman will begin their rookie seasons with the Firebirds. Firkus, Nelson and Goyette are all highly anticipated prospects who the Kraken selected very high in the 2022 NHL draft.

Robertson and Morrison are set to have increased roles with the Firebirds this year and will be attempting to prove they are prepared to be called up to the NHL if the Kraken face injury issues.

The Firebirds are poised to have another roster filled with young talent and should be among the best teams in the AHL. Through rookie camp, training camp and pre-season, these young players and goaltenders were able to acquire valuable experience and can hopefully carry it with them into the AHL season.
