Joining the bench for training camp was the Silvertips' new head coach, Steve Hamilton, who spoke highly of both the NHL and Silvertips prospects. 'The leadership on this team is exceptional... I've been very impressed by that.'
Out of 69 prospects, only 35 will advance with the Silvertips, who will be making roster announcements this week. In the meantime, the players have the Labor Day holiday off before pre-season practices resume in time for this weekend's games on home ice.
