Kraken Captain Undergo's Surgery; Expected To Be Out Three Months

Seattle Kraken captain Jordan Eberle underwent successful pelvis surgery today and is expected to be out for at least three months.

The 34-year-old was involved in a hard collision with Chicago Blackhawks' Connor Murphy on Nov. 14. He left the game immediately and HC Dan Bylsma described the ailment as a mid-body injury.

After visiting multiple doctors, Eberle was finally given the information he needed and elected to undergo surgery to fix the issue.

The Regina, SK native played 17 games before suffering his injury and was enjoying a strong offensive start, scoring six goals and 11 points. His chemistry with Jared McCann was at a high level and was at times, carrying the Kraken.

Eberle's absence has been missed and will continue to be missed. His play on the ice speaks volumes to his importance to the team but his leadership off of it is just as vital. He has been a looked-upon player throughout his entire Kraken career and was given the honour of the captaincy before the 2024-25 season began.

The good news for the Kraken organization is that Eberle is expected to return to the lineup before the end of the season but making the playoffs without their captain will be a difficult task.
