Kraken And Canucks Announce Two-Game Prospects Showcase

The Seattle Kraken and Vancouver Canucks announced they will play a two-game prospects showcase in September of 2025.

The showcase will be held in Seattle, and the two teams have agreed to a multi-year agreement. In 2026, additional games will be played in Abbotsford.

The Kraken most recently participated in the NHL Rookie Face-Off in Los Angeles before the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign. They were in a tournament featuring the Los Angeles Kings, San Jose Sharks, Anaheim Ducks, Colorado Avalanche, Vegas Golden Knights, and Utah HC.

"We look forward to hosting this new series with Vancouver," said Kraken general manager Ron Francis. "This is a great opportunity for our fans to watch some of our top prospects in action."

The Rookie Face-Off was a great experience for the Kraken prospects and allowed them to play against many of the other up-and-coming NHL prospects but the fan aspect wasn't available with the team playing so far from home.

This new series will allow the fans to be present and begin to build a connection with the future Kraken players.
