Kossounou gives Atalanta defensive injury crisis against Juventus
Atalanta will be without central defender Odilon Kossounou for several weeks, if not months, as he has picked up an injury ahead of the team’s upcoming Serie A fixture at home to Juventus on Tuesday night.
Kossounou ruled out for six to eight weeks ahead of Atalanta-Juventus
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Ivorian has suffered a tendon injury in his adductor, which will rule him out of the Juventus clash and both remaining league phase fixtures in the Champions League.
It is expected that Atalanta will be without Kossounou for a period of around six to eight weeks while he recovers from the set-back.
Atalanta have another doubt at the back as Berat Djimsiti could also miss the Juventus match as he required 10 stitches to fix a head injury.
La Dea have also recently sent summer signing Ben Godfrey out on loan to Ipswich Town in the Premier League, which leaves Isak Hien and Rafael Toloi as the only fit, established centre-backs, but there is a chance of Giorgio Scalvini featuring, while Sead Kolasinac and Marten De Roon regularly feature in the back three.
