Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo was recently spotted showcasing his football skills in a video circulating on Twitter.

The footage shows Mainoo engaging in a lively street football match with locals at Venice Beach, Los Angeles.

United are currently on their pre-season tour in America, preparing for the upcoming season.

Their last outing saw them suffer a narrow 2-1 defeat to Arsenal. Despite the loss, the team remains focused on their preparations, with a highly anticipated friendly against Liverpool in South Carolina on the horizon.

Mainoo, however, is not currently with the pre-season squad.

Instead, he, along with Joshua Zirkzee, has been granted an extended holiday. This break follows their commendable performances at Euro 2024, where both players reached the semi-finals with their respective national teams.

The club has decided to allow them additional rest before they rejoin their teammates.

According to reports, Mainoo and Zirkzee are expected to return to training a week before the FA Community Shield match against Manchester City.

Mainoo’s impromptu street football session at Venice Beach has sparked a wave of excitement among United supporters.

The young midfielder, known for his technical skills and agility, seemed to be enjoying the informal setting, effortlessly controlling the ball and engaging with the locals.

This glimpse of his talent in a relaxed environment has only heightened the anticipation for his return to competitive action.

With new signings integrating into the squad and tactical adjustments being made, every training session and friendly match is significant.

Mainoo’s absence, though temporary, is keenly felt, as he is expected to play a vital role in the team’s midfield dynamics.

The upcoming friendly against Liverpool in South Carolina promises to be a stern test for United. It will provide an opportunity for the team to gauge their readiness and make necessary tweaks before the competitive fixtures commence.
