The Paris Olympics are almost officially here — even though some competitions have started already — and among the many stars competing for the U.S. over the next couple of weeks is a stacked women's basketball roster, which includes Diana Taurasi, Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu and A'ja Wilson. The group is hoping to continue the tradition of winning huge at the Olympics to bring home an eighth consecutive gold medal.
Team USA begins pool play in the women's 5x5 basketball tournament on July 29 at 3 p.m. ET. To guarantee a spot in the quarterfinals, the Americans need to finish in the top two of Group C, which also includes Japan, Belgium and Germany.
The women's quarterfinals are on Wednesday, August 7, and the semifinals are on Friday, August 9. Gold- and bronze-medal games will actually happen on the same day as the Closing Ceremony, Sunday, August 11.
