Kittle, 49ers both give Proline bettors a lot to be happy about
George Kittle's historic achievement Sunday night was a popular one with Proline bettors.
Kittle had six catches for 128 yards and a touchdown to lead the San Francisco 49ers past the Dallas Cowboys 30-24. The veteran tight end became just the fifth player in club history to register 500 or more career receptions, joining Jerry Rice (1,281 receptions), Terrell Owens (592), Roger Craig (508) and Dwight Clark (506).
Sunday was also feted as National Tight Ends Day. According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., Kittle was the most popular player prop in the receiving yards (over 57.5), receptions (over 4.5) and anytime touchdown markets.
Overall, tight ends registered 177 catches in this week's action, with 14 scoring touchdowns.
The Detroit Lions were also a popular pick with Proline bettors. A whopping 95 per cent had them beating the Tennessee Titans 52-14 with 88 per cent picking the club -11.5 on the point spread.
The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 7-0 with a 27-20 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Ninety-one per cent of bettors correctly took the defending Super Bowl champions.
Another 86 per cent took Denver to beat the Carolina Panthers, which it did 28-14. Another 78 per cent took the Broncos -12.5 on the point spread.
The Buffalo Bills were victorious 31-10 over the Seattle Seahawks, a result 81 per cent of Proline players picked. Eighty-two per cent of players picked the Bills -2.5 on the point spread.
The Pittsburgh Steelers dispatched the New York Giants 26-18 on Monday night, a result 85 per cent of bettors correctly picked. Seventy-seven per cent also took the Steelers -6.5 on the point spread.
Meanwhile in baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers are on the cusp of winning the World Series. They lead the best-of-seven final 3-1 heading into Wednesday's action.
Sixty-one per cent of Proline players feel the Dodgers will win Wednesday's game while 55 per cent pick the contest to over 8.5 total runs. The most popular player prop is Freddie Freeman over 0.5 home runs while Teoscar Hernandez is the second-most popular at over 0.5 homers.
A Proline retail player made $5,688 from a $10 bet on an 11-leg NFL anytime TD scorer parlay. Another earned $1,215 from a $20 wager on tight ends David Njoku, Tucker Kraft, Dalton Kincaid and Kittle to score touchdowns.
Meanwhile, a digital customer won $2,848 from a $75.50 bet on tight ends Njoku, Evan Engram and Dalton Kincaid to score touchdowns. A second player won $1,215 with a $3 wager on a 12-leg NHL parlay.
