Kirill Kaprizov Passes Mikko Koivu For Power Play Stat In Wild Record Book
ST. PAUL - Wild records continue to be broken by Kirill Kaprizov this year. His latest came on Saturday night against the Nashville Predators.
Kaprizov, 27, picked up his 15th goal of the year on Saturday after he deflected Marco Rossi's shot-pass in the slot. It was his 61st power-play goal of his career.

With that goal, Kaprizov has now passed Mikko Koivu for the second most career power-play goals in Minnesota Wild franchise history. He is eight away from tying Zach Parise’s record of 69.
“He’s great. He’s such a gamer. The more competitive the game, the more competitive he gets," Wild head coach John Hynes said on Kaprizov. "I think the more he plays, the better he gets and you saw that tonight. It was a tightly-contested game, rivalry game, and he finds a way to make a huge difference and that’s who he is. He’s a highly talented player with a huge competitive nature and he can play well when it matters the most. He can come through in big moments. You saw that again tonight.”
