Khvicha Kvaratskhelia or Anthony Gordon? Liverpool fans REVEAL preferred summer signing

Liverpool fans have voted on who they would rather sign this summer between Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Newcastle United ace Anthony Gordon. 

The Reds have been linked with both players frequently over the past week, with the club expected to sign a new wide forward at some point this summer - especially if Luis Diaz leaves the club.

Kvaratskhelia was representing Georgia at Euro 2024 until his side were knocked out in the last 16 by Spain and he looks increasingly likely to leave Napoli this summer after several impressive campaigns.

The 23-year-old winger helped the Italian side win their first scudetto in 2022/23 and would be an excellent addition to Liverpool's star-studded forward line.

Similarly, Gordon has been in fantastic form over the last few years with both Everton and Newcastle, finishing last season with 11 goals and ten assists in the Premier League alone.

Over the weekend, the young Englishman was strongly linked with a surprise move to Anfield, with a deal still possible later in the summer.

While both Kvaratskhelia and Gordon would be terrific signings, with the Reds having seen their quality first-hand over past seasons, they would both cost a fortune.

The Napoli man is expected to cost around £100m, with a similar fee having been previously touted for Gordon.

Anfield Watch ran a poll on X (formerly Twitter) to see which lucrative summer signing supporters would prefer to see arrive on Merseyside, with 5,410 fans casting votes on their ideal left-wing addition.

The vote was relatively close but it was 'Kvaradona' that ran out as winner. He claimed 58.8% of the vote to Gordon's respectable 41.2%.

Kvaratskhelia and Gordon are similar players in profile. Both are incredible dribblers, lightning quick and boast a keen eye for goal. However, the latter would class as a homegrown talent, which would help Liverpool when registering their squad next season.

Of course, they are not the only two forwards linked with Anfield and Spain star Nico Williams is another name to keep an eye on over the coming weeks.

The young Athletic Club star has dazzled at Euro 2024 and boasts an achievable £47m release clause in his contract.
