Kevin Pillar continues to make this Blue Jays season somewhat watchable.

As he’s done, like, 85,000 times this season — and countless times throughout his career in Toronto — Pillar got on his horse and laid himself out with complete disregard for the limits of the human anatomy to steal an extra base hit. This time, it was the Red Sox’s Brock Holt who was victimized as his 0-1 blooper was gobbled up by a diving Pillar before he easily finished the inning-ending double play at second.

This latest wizardry, however, came at a cost for the centre fielder. Pillar immediately shook out and was seen grabbing his right arm after returning to his feet. He played out the bottom half of the inning but was replaced ahead of his next plate appearance by Dwight Smith Jr. after looking noticeably uncomfortable in the dugout.

The team has yet to provide an update on the status of Pillar, who has only missed one game so far this season.
