Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne has revealed a bold new hairstyle upon his return to training at the City Football Academy this week.

The Belgium international playmaker was one of nine first-team stars to return to action under Pep Guardiola this week, having been granted permission to miss the club’s pre-season tour of the United States to enjoy an extended holiday period.

A large share of Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad starred in the European Championships this summer, and as such were permitted to miss the trip Stateside with a view towards ensuring maximum rest for another long season ahead.

However, with the club’s first competitive game of the new season right around the corner, Manchester City will intensify their preparations with a largely full-strength unit at the City Football Academy this week, including Kevin De Bruyne.

And with a new season has also come a brand new look for Manchester City’s legendary playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, who unveiled a top-knot style to his hair upon returning to training at the City Football Academy on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old was in high spirits upon making his return to training ground duties for the Premier League champions, having reported back for action following a summer of widespread transfer uncertainty.

The Belgian international has been consistently linked with ambitious transfer interest from Saudi Arabia, but with Manchester City standing firm on a £100 million valuation of the midfielder, officials from the Middle-East have not turned admiration into concrete proposals.

As such, De Bruyne and Manchester City can now look forward to a brand new season and the goal of claiming an unprecedented fifth consecutive Premier League title, having broke the record for the most successive English top-flight crowns last campaign.

Guardiola and his players will no doubt face intense competition from the Premier League, with Arsenal once again strengthening their chase through recruitment, as well as Liverpool and Chelsea making improvements to their own sides and undergoing managerial changes.
