Kentucky women’s basketball tip-off times, TV channels locked in for 2024-25 season
Tip-off times and TV channel designations are now available for Kenny Brooks’ first season as Kentucky women’s basketball coach.
The Southeastern Conference announced its television schedule Thursday, completing the details of UK’s 2024-25 slate. Following the reemergence of the Wildcats on the national stage, 13 of their games will be televised on cable with the remainder streaming online.
The televised games include their ACC/SEC Challenge matchup against North Carolina (ESPN2) on Dec. 5, their trip to Ole Miss (ESPN2) on Feb. 10 and their final regular-season game against South Carolina (ESPN) on March 2.
After months of building excitement regarding Brooks’ high-profile move from Virginia Tech to Kentucky, UK will officially open its season Nov. 4 at Memorial Coliseum against USC Upstate at 5 p.m., and that will be streamed on SEC Network+. The Wildcats’ next four games — vs. Northern Kentucky on Nov. 7 at 6 p.m., vs. Wofford on Nov. 12 at 6 p.m., vs. Louisville on Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. and vs. Purdue Fort Wayne on Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. — will also air live on SEC Network+.
UK’s trip to Nashville during the week of Thanksgiving for the Music City Classic, which will pit the Wildcats against Arizona State on Nov. 26 at 4:30 p.m. and against Illinois on Nov. 27 at 8 p.m., will be available to stream on premium service BallerTV. Kentucky’s Dec. 14 matchup at Purdue on Dec. 14 at 5 p.m. will air on the Big Ten Network.
Additionally, the SEC announced the game times and networks for the 2025 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament, which opens on March 5 in Greenville, South Carolina and continues on March 6 with second-round games taking place at 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on the SEC Network. Friday’s afternoon quarterfinals will be broadcast on ESPN2 at noon and 2:30 p.m., and the evening quarterfinals will air on the SEC Network at 6 and 8:30 p.m. Saturday’s semifinals will be hosted on ESPN2 at 4:30 and 7 p.m., and Sunday’s championship game will air at 3 p.m. on ESPN.
Big Blue Madness will be broadcast live at 7 p.m. Friday on the SEC Network. Kentucky does not have any exhibition games scheduled this season, but its Blue-White Preseason Event will take place Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. The Blue-White game won’t be available to stream, but tickets are available for purchase now, with proceeds benefiting Club Blue NIL.
