Kelly Clarkson's star power was on full display as she walked the 2024 Grammy Awards red carpet.

The talk show host, 41, opted for a classic look, wearing a custom Jason Wu Collection sculpted crepe gown in porcelain white with an off-the-shoulder silhouette. She accessorized with a matching white clutch and romantic curls to complete the Old Hollywood aesthetic. Clarkson was also dripping in diamonds from Jared Atelier worth more than $200,000.

She also brought her son Remington, 7, with her as her date for the night.

Clarkson is nominated for best pop vocal album for chemistry, her critically lauded collection of songs written after her split from her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares daughter River Rose, 9, and son Remington Alexander, 7. The three-time Grammy winner is nominated alongside Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo and Ed Sheeran.

While Clarkson is no stranger to Grammy nominations — in addition to her three wins, she's been nominated 17 times to date — this year's nod is special thanks to just how much of herself she poured into chemistry.

In January, Clarkson opened up about how the album became an outlet for her to work through her emotions in an interview with PEOPLE.

"I didn’t see it other than: This is my outlet. I’m a let-go person; I don’t hold grudges. So it was really delving into what happened in my life and why—and what am I going to do about it?” she said.

“I cannot express how appreciative I feel for having that kind of healthy outlet," Clarkson continued. "Because the level of depression and things that come with divorce or grieving is extraordinarily hard. You feel alone, and it’s just a blessing to be able to have that outlet for those emotions that are overwhelming.”

Clarkson also opened up about how she's been on a health journey since relocating to New York, largely from how active she is! She told PEOPLE she walks a lot and she's been eating healthier.

“I eat a healthy mix. I dropped weight because I’ve been listening to my doctor — a couple years I didn’t. And 90 percent of the time I’m really good at it because a protein diet is good for me anyway. I’m a Texas girl, so I like meat — sorry, vegetarians in the world!”

Win or lose, Clarkson is coming off a big year both personally and professionally. In November, she debuted her wispy new bangs, which felt emblematic of the many changes in her life, which include kicking off a successful Las Vegas residency and moving her family to New York City.

Shortly before debuting her new look, the "Since You've Been Gone" singer explained to PEOPLE why her move to New York was the fresh start she needed.

"I was very depressed for the last three years — and maybe a little before that, if I'm being honest. I think I really needed the change," Clarkson told PEOPLE.

She continued, "I needed it for me and my family as well. My kids are thriving here. We're just doing so much better, and we needed a fresh start."
