Keenan Allen injury: Is Bears WR playing today vs Vikings?
The Chicago Bears (4-6) are gearing up for an NFC North showdown against the Minnesota Vikings (8-2), where Chicago is looking to halt a four-game losing streak after a 4-2 start. But it won't be easy against a dominant Vikings team.
The Bears are going to need another strong performance from their offense, led by interim offensive coordinator Thomas Brown. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams is coming off his best performance, and he'll be looking to spread the ball around to his wealth of weapons, including wide receiver Keenan Allen. But something happened this week in practice that has Allen questionable for Sunday.
Will Allen suit up against the Vikings?
Keenan Allen injury update
Allen was a late addition on the injury report on Friday after rolling his ankle during practice, and he was pulled midway through, according to coach Matt Eberflus. Still, Chicago is "hopeful" Allen will be ready to go. Allen is officially questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings, but all signs point to him suiting up in Week 12.
How long will Keenan Allen be out?
It doesn't sound like Allen will miss any time with his ankle injury after being limited during Friday's practice. While he told reporters that his ankle is a little stiff, he expects to play on Sunday. Should Allen not be 100 percent, the Bears have plenty of weapons for Williams with wide receivers DJ Moore and Rome Odunze, along with tight end Colt Kmet.
Bears WR depth chart
If Allen can't go -- or if he's limited at all -- Chicago has prime options in the receiving game with DJ Moore and rookie Rome Odunze, who were among the leading receivers for Williams last week. The Bears just signed Collin Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster, which gives them additional options alongside Tyler Scott and kick return ace DeAndre Carter.
