Keegan Bradley, Stephan Jaeger make massive moves up the 2025 Sony Open leaderboard

Keegan Bradley and his glorious mustache opened with a sluggish 1-under 69 on Thursday at the Sony Open in Hawaii, but he's been running downhill ever since. On Friday, the U.S. Ryder Cup captain made five birdies and a bogey on his way to a second-round 4-under 66. Making the cut by just a few shots — anyone worse than 3 under went home early — Bradley needed something low on Day 3 to have any chance come Sunday afternoon.

And he got it.

Bradley, starting on the back, made three birdies and a couple bogeys to make the turn with a 1-under 34. Maybe it was a beer at the halfway house, but Bradley got it going on the front. He posted a bogey-free 5-under 30 on his way back to the clubhouse and is now 11 under for the week. When he signed his card, he was two shots back of the lead.

If he's able to post another low score on Sunday, Bradley will have a chance to right last year's wrong when he lost in a playoff at Waialae.

Bradley wasn't the only one who made a massive move up the board, as Stephan Jaeger, the winner of last year's Texas Children's Houston Open, followed up back-to-back 68s with a stellar 8-under 62, tying a career-low on Tour.

Despite hitting just six fairways, Jaeger ranked second in Strokes Gained: Approach and third in SG: Putting, the perfect recipe for a low score.

Like Bradley, the German began his round on the back nine, recording birdies on Nos. 13, 14, 16 and 18 to post a 3-under 32 (he made bogey on 15) on his opening nine. And again, like Bradley, Jaeger made five birdies and no bogeys on the front to get to 12 under for the week.

"I mean, it's the same," Jaeger said when asked about his mindset going into the final round. "You're trying to hit as many fairways as possible. I played pretty aggressively off the tee, a lot of drivers. If I can get them in the fairways I'll have a lot of shorter shots in. If you miss the fairways, you're going to have to be creative to get those balls on the greens and get good birdie putts. Nothing will change; game feels nice, so I'm excited about tomorrow."
