KC Chiefs vs. Raiders: When, where, odds... and a reminder about an infamous bus ride

Tammy Ljungblad/yyossifer@star-telegram.com

The Chiefs on Sunday can just about deliver a knockout blow to the Raiders’ hopes of winning the AFC West.

Las Vegas (6-6) will be at Arrowhead Stadium, and the Raiders are two games behind the Chiefs (8-4). A Chiefs victory Sunday would give them a three-game lead on Vegas in the division with four games to play in the season.

The Chiefs would also own a tiebreaker because they defeated the Raiders 41-14 on Nov. 14. While a Chiefs’ win Sunday wouldn’t officially eliminate Las Vegas, it would take the Raiders winning out, the Chiefs losing the rest of their games and the Chargers hitting a serious slump for Las Vegas to win its first division title since 2002.

Oh, and here’s guessing the Chiefs won’t forget what happened the last time the Raiders visited Kansas City. Remember the Raiders’ victory lap around Arrowhead Stadium after Las Vegas’ victory?

Fans haven’t forgotten. Chances are that’ll come up this week in news conferences for both teams.
