Kawhi Leonard provides unintentionally hilarious interview after Game 5 victory
Kawhi Leonard’s hyper-focused demeanor allows him to be arguably the NBA’s pre-eminent two-way threat. Those same qualities never waver off the court, and as a result, Leonard’s deadpan delivery often leads to some hilarious results.
Following a 105-99 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, which placed the Toronto Raptors one game away from their first NBA Finals appearance in franchise history, Leonard unintentionally dropped another gem.
Kristen Ledlow: If a series doesn’t start until somebody wins on the road, it started tonight, but how do you beat the Bucks four times in a row?
Leonard: I don’t know, I haven’t done it. We’re taking it one game at a time. I’m just excited we got the win tonight.
Ledlow: With one win away until a trip to the NBA Finals, what’s this team’s mentality with history on the line?
Leonard: I mean, I haven’t even gotten to the locker room yet, we just finished the game.
After getting to the podium, Leonard rejected the notion that he’s not aware of his comedic timing.

It’s certainly fair from Leonard. In any event, no one in Toronto will be asking him to change anytime soon.
