Karim Benzema sends message to Real Madrid ahead of Spanish Super Cup

Real Madrid legend Karim Benzema has on Wednesday sent a message of support the way of his former club.

This, of course, comes amid Los Blancos’ ongoing preparations for kicking their Spanish Super Cup campaign into gear this week.

After Barcelona and Athletic Club lock horns later this evening, Real will face off with RCD Mallorca on Thursday, with sights on booking their spot in the tournament finale.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops have already flown out to the Middle East, training in Jeddah with a view to lining out at King Abdullah Sports City in a little over 24 hours’ time.

This is the same ground which the aforementioned Karim Benzema now calls home, having linked up with Saudi outfit Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023.

Fresh off notching a crucial brace en route to victory over Al-Hilal on Tuesday, the subject of his former employers’ upcoming endeavours in Jeddah was therefore put to Benzema himself.

And the Frenchman went on to reply:

“The Spanish Super Cup? Only one message: Hala Madrid.”
