It was a night that will live in Vejmelka’s memories forever.
"It's unreal," Vejmelka said. "This is a moment to remember, for sure. This is a night to remember for me and for everybody. This is a huge game for us."
The Hockey Club were in the midst of a brutal stretch prior to Vejmelka’s heroics as they had lost seven out of their last nine games.
Despite getting bombarded with shots, Vejmelka kept Utah in the game, which is why his teammates had nothing but positive things about their goaltender following the triumphant victory.
"Unbelievable. We're thankful for him. He had an amazing night," Nick Bjugstad said about Vejmelka.
Throughout the entirety of the contest, the 28-year-old goalie was locked in, getting better and better as the night progressed.
"In those games with a lot of shots, I feel really, really good," Vejmelka said. "It's kind of easier to play than if I have only 10 shots, so it's different, and I'm more tired now."
