Kansas game prediction
In order to return to a postseason bowl, two-win KU needs to be perfect — as in, go 4-0 — the rest of the way.
Well, that starts with the Cyclones.
And KU’s offense will be tested. Iowa State ranks No. 9 nationally in scoring defense, with opponents averaging just 15.5 points per game. The Cyclones have allowed an average of just 146.6 passing yards.
The Jayhawks, meanwhile, must establish the run. KU needs to do that while simultaneously forcing Iowa State quarterback Rocco Becht to make some mistakes — he’s thrown six interceptions this season.
KU’s usually plays well after bye weeks under coach Lance Leipold and I expect that to continue Saturday.
Prediction: KU 31, ISU 24
Shreyas’ pick to cover: KU (-6.5)
Shreyas’ record: 3-4
Shreyas’ record against the spread: 3-4
