Kaneryd set to return for Chelsea against West Ham
Chelsea have been boosted by the return of winger Johanna Rytting-Kaneryd, who has resumed full training before Sunday's game against West Ham.
There is less positive news about midfielder Wieke Kaptein, who manager Sonia Bompastor confirmed missed training and will not be in the squad.
"She's getting back to practice but isn't ready for the game. She'll probably be in the squad for Wednesday," added Bompastor.
Chelsea sit top of the Women's Super League table by six points but Bompastor is staying grounded.
"We're taking it game by game. If we can maintain the gap, great. But our focus is on the next match," she added.
Here are more key lines from her news conference:
Bompastor insisted on keeping the threat of relegation in the league, stating it keeps matches competitive, despite reports that a "closed league" had been considered.
She praised the loan system and said the gap between U18s and the first team "was too big" so it was an important part of player development.
