This week, 16 schools brought football players and coaches to Las Vegas for the league’s annual media days. Newcomers Arizona, Utah, Colorado and Arizona State participated. Founding members Oklahoma and Texas did not, having shipped off to the SEC.

But there is something familiar about the conference. Kansas State is expected to be good, again.
