Juventus have made former Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar their “Plan A” in defense, and could also rival Inter and Juventus for Joanthan Tah.

This according to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Juventus are virtually certain to sign a defender during the January transfer window.

This would be in response to the fact that Bremer is set to be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury that he suffered during a Champions League clash with RB Leipzig last month.

The Bianconeri have decided against dipping into the free transfer market before January. They will make do with what they have until then.

But it would be virtually unthinkable for the Turin giants to go the entire rest of the season without signing a player to make up for the absence of a defensive linchpin like Bremer.

And the Bianconeri’s top target would be something of a shock transfer.

The Gazzetta report that it is Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar who they have made their main objective.

On the pitch, a move for Skriniar would make sense.

The Slovakian has proven himself at a very high level in Serie A.

Moreover, Skriniar looks to be very clearly out of the picture at PSG. Therefore, agreeing a deal with the French champions wouldn’t be too difficult.

Of course, Skriniar’s six-year stint at Inter would make the move a controversial one. Even if he did not leave the Nerazzurri on the best of terms, departing on a free transfer in 2023.

One aspect to note is that Skriniar earns around 10 million net per season in the French capital.

Therefore, Juventus would require PSG to cover some of his wages in order to sign the 29-year-old.

Meanwhile, Skriniar is not the only defender that Juventus are looking at.

Former Genoa and Salernitana defender Radu Dragusin is another. The Romanian is currently at Tottenham Hotspur, having made the move last January.

Then, the Gazzetta report, the Bianconeri could also make a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah.

Tah is also a major target for the likes of Inter and Bayern Muncih.

The German will be available on a free transfer next summer, with his contract with Leverkusen expiring at the end of next June.

However, if Juventus were to move in January, they could beat the competition to Tah’s signature by paying a relatively small fee.

Lastly, the Gazzetta note, Inter-linked Udinese defender Jaka Bijol is another name on Juventus’s defensive shortlist.
