Juventus could include two players in swap for Napoli striker
Juventus’ lack of depth in the attacking department is prompting the Bianconeri to assess various ways to add to their offensive firepower, including offering Napoli a swap deal for Giacomo Raspadori that would see two of their players go in the opposite direction.
With Arkadiudz Milik not having played a single minute this season due to a knee injury, the Old Lady found themselves short of centre-forward options in the absence of Dusan Vlahovic.
Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is a long-standing admirer of Raspadori, having already signed him once from Sassuolo during his stint with the Partenopei, and he identified the Italian striker as an ideal profile to bolster the Bianconeri’s attack.
Napoli open to negotiating Raspadori’s exit to Juventus with players swap
While Napoli were initially reluctant to negotiate the departure of the 24-year-old, La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that they recently seemed more open to listening to Juventus’ proposals, knowing the Turin giants could include the likes of Danilo and Nicolò Fagioli in the deal.
According to the pink newspaper, the Partenopei are still firm on not accepting to loan out the player, but both the Brazilian defender and the young midfielder could be of Antonio Conte’s interest, with the former deemed as the experienced alternative his side currently lacks in defence.
Even though striking an agreement wouldn’t be easy, the deal could eventually please all the parties involved, as Raspadori’s playing time under Conte has been significantly limited by Napoli’s lack of European football.
In Serie A, the coach did not budge from considering Romelu Lukaku, Khvicha Kvartskhelia and Matteo Politano as their starters up front, with David Neres seen as the first alternative, resulting in the former Sassuolo forward only getting two league starts so far, both of which came in August.
