How Juventus could hand Barcelona another financial boost

La Liga giants Barcelona could well be afforded a timely boost on the financial front by one of Italian football’s top clubs this summer.

This comes amid fresh claims surrounding the future of Jean-Clair Todibo.

Stopper Todibo, currently plying his trade in France with OGC Nice, is understood to have made his way firmly onto the wishlist of Serie A heavyweights Juventus.

The Bianconeri have earmarked the 24-year-old as their priority signing, amid ongoing efforts to reinforce the club’s backline.

As per a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, cited by Mundo Deportivo, Nice are currently asking for €40 million to sanction a deal.

And though Juventus are eager to lower such demands, the Turin-based outfit are seen as capable of paying up if push ultimately comes to shove.

In the case of precisely that, Nice, though, would not be the only ones to benefit.

So too, as alluded to above, would be a cash-strapped Barcelona, who have maintained a 20% sell-on clause on Todibo since the Frenchman’s return to his home country on a permanent basis back in 2021.
