After FC Barcelona faced rejection in their appeal to register Dani Olmo by obtaining a precautionary measure from the Commercial Court No. 10 in Barcelona last week, they turned to another court for resolution.

Indeed, the Blaugrana had lodged an appeal against La Liga at the court of first instance, as part of which they were also hoping to secure the precautionary injunction which would allow them to go ahead with Olmo’s registrations for the second half of the season.

However, for the second time in four days, the Catalans have been denied the precautionary measure by the court, reports Fernando Polo of Mundo Deportivo.

Indeed, on Monday, the Court of First Instance 47 of Barcelona also rejected the precautionary measures that would have allowed the registration of the Spanish midfielder and forward in La Liga.

This was the final legal route that Barcelona could take to try and register Olmo, as well as Pau Victor’s contracts with the aim of allowing them to play in the remainder of the season.

Without this judicial option, Barcelona are left with only one alternative: La Liga must approve the documentation related to the sale of the VIP seats at the future Spotify Camp Nou.

As reported earlier Joan Laporta has already secured an agreement worth €100 million for the VIP seat packages with two companies in the Middle East.

La Liga has been informed of the deal and have been sent all relevant documentation as well. The only thing left is for certification that the funds have arrived, post which La Liga can provide the approval.

It would not only enable the registrations of Olmo and Victor, but take Barcelona back to 1:1 rule, allowing them to operate with greater freedom in the transfer market.
