Juric to alternate Hummels and Hermoso in 3-man defense
Ivan Juric immediately got to work following his surprise appointment as Roma’s new head coach.
The 49-year-old Croatian manager finds himself in a difficult situation as he replaces Daniele De Rossi at the helm of the club.
Moreover, the Giallorossi are still without a win and will be playing in a fiery Stadio Olimpico on Sunday against Udinese.
Therefore, Juric has made it a point to turn his attention to the veterans within the squad.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juric’s preference for a system that relies on a 3-man defense has made it the coach’s priority to get close to the likes of Mats Hummels and Mario Hermoso.
The newspaper states that with Juric the two players will regularly alternate, rotating in and out of the team’s starting line-up alongside Evan Ndicka and Gianluca Mancini.
