Christophe Berra, former Wolves defender and Scotland international, recalls Wilson’s early days at Heart of Midlothian: “He was very quiet and you might not have thought he was that football-oriented… He would create videos for Austin and help individuals with things that they needed or the manager needed.”

Wilson’s commitment saw him taking on roles as an opposition analyst for Queen of the South and Dundee United before joining Hearts in 2017. His collaboration with MacPhee extended to the Irish FA and Northern Ireland, further honing his skills.
