Jose Bautista returns to Toronto, gets warm welcome at Raptors game
Joey Bats returned to the city he called home for nearly ten years, and the people of the 6ix were certainly happy to see him.
The Philadelphia Phillie joined his former teammate, Marcus Stroman, to take in the Raptors game against the Dallas Mavericks Friday night at Scotiabank Arena. With the Raptors nursing a lead early in the second quarter, the two had a little fun when they were featured on the main screen.

While both players got a shoutout from Raptors PA Announcer Herbie Kuhn, Stroman was quick to give up the spotlight to his boy Bautista, who will always have fans in this city following an incredible career north of the border.
And while fans at Scotiabank Arena were thrilled to see Bautista, no one was more appreciative than that man in the blue sweater seated just a few rows behind the baseball stars.
He couldn’t quite get the standing ovation off the ground, but his solo effort was impressive nonetheless.
