Jonathan Fauchon Commits To Providence
Rimouski Oceanic forward Jonathan Fauchon has committed to Providence, it was announced earlier this week.
Fauchon, who hails from Ste-Claire-de-Bellechasse, Que., is in his final season of junior eligibility. Having recently joined the Oceanic, Fauchon previously spent parts of five seasons with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada.
Before joining the Oceanic, where he has one goal in one game, Fauchon got into 31 games with the Armada. Over that span, he put up 25 goals and 50 points. A 2020 first round pick of the Armada, Fauchon has collected 221 points in 227 career regular season games.
Seen as one of the top CHL overagers, Fauchon will certainly be one to watch as he joins the Friars next fall. As someone who can create chances out of almost nothing, Fauchon should be able to step into the NCAA and contribute immediately.
