John Tortorella ditches suit, rocks hoodie behind Blue Jackets bench
Columbus Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella has been coaching in the National Hockey League since 1989. That’s a whole lot of suits.
We all know Torts isn’t scared to deviate from the norm, to say the least, so him breaking tradition to rock a cozy looking hoodie while coaching an actual NHL hockey game on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Flyers shouldn’t come as any surprise.
I mean, how comfy does that look?

Now, as much as I would love to say the Jackets bench boss did this just because he felt like it, I cannot responsibly spread such lies. Aside from it being sweater weather, it is also flu season, and it was reported that Torts has been battling flu-like symptoms and did what he could to prevent it from getting worse.
A real grinder, that Torts.
#CBJ spokesman says coach John Tortorella was suffering flu-like symptoms pre-game and is wearing the hoody because he’s not feeling well. #chills #yucks #banky

While Tortorella was just trying to comfortably do his job, the people running the Blue Jackets Twitter account were carrying out their job at a very high level, too, changing the account’s name and avatar to match the situation at hand.

Not to start anything here, but the Blue Jackets, who lost their previous two games, snapped their losing streak on Thursday night with a 4-3 OT win.
Tortorella is 1-0 while wearing a hoodie, that’s just the facts — and the numbers never lie.
