John Lannan: Cubs Interested

Update: The Cubs have inquired about Lannan, MLive.com reports.

Recommendation: Lannan asked out of Washington after the club optioned him to Triple-A earlier this week. Nationals GM Mike Rizzo said Thursday that interest in Lannan has been "mild," but manager Davey Johnson told the Washington Post "We're not trading (Lannan)." The 27-year-old went 10-13 with a 3.70 ERA last season, but it looks like he'll be in Triple-A for the foreseeable future.
