Joel Eriksson Ek Leaves Vancouver Game With Lower-Body Injury
ST. PAUL - In a very chippy and playoff-like game, Joel Eriksson Ek was one of many Wild players who got roughed up.
He took a bad elbow to the face earlier in the game that went uncalled. Later he took a heavy cross-check to the back by Tyler Myers and skated off slowly.
During many of the media timeouts, Eriksson Ek would go to Kelly Sutherland and TJ Luxmore and ask why nothing was called. Marcus Foligno would join him and Wild head coach John Hynes would also question why.
Eriksson Ek did return and started the overtime. He had a chance early in the overtime but was denied by Kevin Lankinen. After his shot, Eriksson Ek went down hard on his right leg. He left the game limping off.

"No, he got a little banged up at the end of the 3-on-3. I don't know what's there for that but he did leave."
Hynes said postgame that he did not have an update on Eriksson Ek.
