Joe Mixon has words for the NFL and NFLPA after an uncalled hip-drop tackle injured him
The hip drop tackle was supposed to be outlawed in 2024, but we've seen some possible examples that should have been whistled for a penalty.
That included one that sent Joe Mixon to the turf on Sunday night in the Houston Texans' win over the Chicago Bears. Linebacker T.J. Edwards took him down with a hip-drop and Mixon is now dealing with an ankle injury.
Mixon didn't stay quiet about it. He took to X (formerly Twitter) and had words for the NFL and the players' association: "The NFL and NFLPA made it a rule and an emphasis for a reason. Time to put your money where your mouth is."

We'll see if the NFL responds with more calls.
