Jimmy Vesey Officially Making Return From Injury For Rangers
Jimmy Vesey will officially make his return for the New York Rangers in their Sunday afternoon matchup against the New York Islanders.
The 31-year-old has been a full participant at practice for well over a week now and took reps with the fourth line alongside Sam Carrick and Adam Edström on Saturday.
During training camp, Vesey went down and was laboring in pain on the ice as he quickly limped his way back into the locker room.
Vesey was put on long-term injured reserve and missed the first ten games of the season, but the injury didn’t appear to be as serious as some may have thought originally.
Last season, the 31-year-old recorded 13 goals, 13 assists and 26 points in 80 games while averaging 12:23 minutes pergame.
