Jimmy Snuggerud Is Heating Up, Bodes Well For Blues
Jimmy Snuggerud brushed aside an ejection last week just like he's brushed aside his early-season scoring.
The St. Louis Blues' first-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft picked up where he left off when he departed a 1-0 win against Penn State when he wasejected i the first period for an illegal hit to the head by picking up four points (two goals, two assists) in a pair of 3-2 come-from-behind wins for the No. 3 Minnesota Golden Gophers on the road against the Wisconsin Badgers.
Snuggerud scored twice on Friday, including this one-timer on the power play to tie the game 2-2, something Blues fans will welcome with open arms for a player to be cocked, locked and loaded in that left circle:

He then took a backdoor feed from Erik Pahlsson with just over seven minutes remaining to complete one comeback:

Snuggerud didn't score on Saturday in another 3-2 comeback win, but this sequence in overtime was a thing of beauty, with Snuggerud flipping a backhand pass into the slot that Brody Ziemer batted in out of midair:

Snuggerud started the season with a goal in the first six games (six assists), but has since scored four the past three games and one period and has 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in 10 games for the 9-1 Golden Gophers; he also had 10 shots in two games, so the trigger is not lacking whatsoever.
* Dalibor Dvorsky -- The No. 10 pick in the 2023 NHL Draft picked up a goal in his fourth straight game this week and had two assists in three games, scoring in a 5-3 win against Bridgeport before adding two assists in 3-2 loss against Hershey.

* Tomas Mrsic -- The 2024 fourth-round pick continues to play better than a point-per-game clip (18 points; eight goals, 12 assists in 14 games) with a goal and assist in two games for Prince Albert of the WHL, which picked up a pair of wins this past week.
His seventh power-play goal on Tuesday fueled a 4-3 shootout win over Regina:

The forward seems to be finding his footing with the Thunderbirds, and it's good to see because this kid was a workhorse during prospect camp this past summer and for the Blues at their camp.
