Jets Fans Call Out For Change Back To Classic Sweaters
The Winnipeg Jets took to Instagram last Thursday, asking fans what their favorite jersey was in the teams recent history.
We covered the topic recently and the post gave fans and interested parties a chance to see what the people really thought. The most popular comment from fans was the Heritage Classic jerseys that the team had worn during the event in 2016 and 2019 that raked up over 275 likes.

The comment was one of many that mentioned the pair of sweaters should be used as the Jets new home and away jerseys. The Heritage Classic sweaters finished first and second in our recent rankings of Jets jerseys.
Another popular comment that garnered just under 100 likes, laughingly pointed out that any jersey worn by former Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien should be a fan favourite.
When playing for the Jets from 2011 to 2019, Byfuglien didn't sport many of the Jets recent alternate jerseys except for the Heritage Classic sweaters, which he indeed pulled off with style.
It begs the question of if the Jets would look to complete this transition to a throwback set of home and away jerseys as many other NHL teams have in recent years. The LA Kings, Ottawa Senators and Calgary Flames are among some of the teams, who have moved back to older designs for their current jersey sets and could motion the idea of the Jets to do the same.
