Jets Drop Third Straight 4-2 To The Red Wings Despite Late Push For Equalizer
The Winnipeg Jets dropped their third consecutive game, losing 4-2 to the Detroit Red Wings.

Connor Hellebuyck's chase for 300 career wins will have to wait another day. Despite turning away 25 of the 28 shots he faced, the Jets couldn't take down the Red Wings, who have now won four straight games. Alex Lyon turned away 21 of the 23 shots he faced.
Dylan Larkin opened the scoring for the Red Wings with his 15th goal of the season. The power play goal marked his fifth consecutive game with a point.

The Jets headed into the first intermission trailing on the scoreboard and on the shot chart, 17-7.
The Red Wings power play capitalized again, this time courtesy of a Lucas Raymond one-timer. The puck changed directions en route to beating Hellebuyck.

The Jets' play improved in the second period, outshooting the Red Wings 11-3 in the middle frame but trailed on the scoreboard 2-1.
Alex DeBrincat regained the Red Wings' two-goal lead after he and Patrick Kane combined on a transition passing play.
