Jets Avenge Their Loss To Utah; Cole Perfetti Records A Hat Trick In 5-2 Win
The Winnipeg Jets responded exactly how HC Scott Arniel wanted them to, defeating Utah HC 5-2.
Cole Perfetti recorded his first career hat trick and Nikolaj Ehlers reached 500 career points, picking up a goal and two assists. Connor Hellebuyck turned away 17 of the 19 shots he faced. Connor Ingram allowed four goals on 28 shots.

Perfetti opened the scoring on the power play with just over two minutes remaining in the first period. Ehlers found him wide open for a one-timer with a cross-ice pass.

The opening frame ended with the Jets leading 1-0 and outshooting Utah 10-5.
Utah answered back with their own power play goal in the second period after Nick Schmaltz deflected a Michael Kesselring point shot.

The Jets and Utah each added goals in the second period but the Jets held their one goal lead. Utah upped the offensive pressure but the Jets still outshot Utah 11-9.
Barrett Hayton rifled a wrist shot past Hellebuyck to tie the game at 2-2, 1:19 into the third period.

Perfetti scored his second of the night to regain the Jets' lead. Vladislav Namestnikov was first to find Dylan DeMelo's point shot and found Perfetti wide open for a tap in.

Ehlers picked up his second point of the night scoring on a breakaway, extending the Jets lead to 4-2.

Ehlers made a great play to win the puck back and find Perfetti open to score into the empty net and register his third goal of the game.
