Jets Activate Forward Nikolaj Ehlers from Injured Reserve
The Winnipeg Jets have activated forward Nikolaj Ehlers from their injured reserve in advance of Wednesday evening's contest with the Anaheim Ducks.
The team earlier placed defenceman Dylan Coghlan on Waivers for the purpose of being sent down to the American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose.

That move would allow Ehlers to work his way back to the Jets' active roster. Doing so in advance of Wednesday's game also meant the speedy Dane would have an opportunity to suit up after missing nine games since hurting himself on November 29.

Winnipeg is also sending fellow forward David Gustafsson to its injured reserve, dating back to December 10, retroactively. He suffered a concussion in a fight vs. veteran pugilist Trent Frederic in the Jets' 8-1 triumph over the Bruins.
Ehlers, who will play in California in the second game of the back-to-back, has produced well for Winnipeg in his 24 games this season, recording nine goals, 25 points and a +5 rating.
It is not yet known where he will slot into the playing lineup.
