Jets acquire Cody Eakin from Golden Knights for conditional 4th-round pick
The Winnipeg Jets acquired forward Cody Eakin from the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for a conditional 2021 fourth-round pick.
No salary was retained in the deal, according to Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston.
After trading Eakin, #VegasBorn now has Projected Cap Hit of $81.1M for year, meaning they are no longer using LTIR. If they finished yr at this cap hit, then some of the performance bonuses earned (Engelland) would not need to carry over to next year. https://t.co/wIcSxVkmmB

Eakin has recorded four goals and 10 points in 41 games this season. He’s coming off a career year, where he posted 22 goals and 41 points in 78 games.
If the Jets make the playoffs this year or re-sign Eakin to a new deal before July 5, 2020, Winnipeg will send its 2021 third-round pick to Vegas, per the conditions of the trade.
