Jessie J Reveals She's Not a 'Beige' Mom as She Showcases Son Sky's New, Colorful Playroom

"We like some color over here," the “Price Tag” singer captioned her Instagram Story

Jessie J gave her son's playroom a colorful makeover.

On Monday, the “Price Tag” singer, 35, took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of the new playroom she designed for her 9-month-old son, Sky Safir. The room is decorated with colorful foam mats, a life-size rainbow, an indoor playground and a play chest covered in toys.

"Not bad for a weeks work," the singer, who shares Sky with her boyfriend, Chanan Safir Colman, wrote on the Instagram Story of a photo of the room. "This house was not set for Sky crawling/age/toys/feeding etc. So I have been pre ordering things and running around getting it together. Love it!"

After posting Jessie (née Jessica Ellen Cornish) took to her story again to reveal more about where the inspiration for the playroom came from. She also said she's, "Grateful to have the space and time and finances to love on him this way. He loves it."

"Im defo not a one color (beige) mom. I mean I'm beige but not everything in my house and his play room is. I mean the idea is nice but it's just not fun to me. We like some color over here. Makes me so happy. Bright and full of personality just like our boy," she continued.

Jessie gave birth to her son on May 12. A week after his birth, the singer shared the news on Instagram, writing, "A week ago my whole life changed.”

"My son entered this world and my heart grew twice the size," she continued. "The feeling is indescribable. I am flying in love."

"He is magic," she added. "He is all my dreams come true. He is my whole 🌍. He and I are both doing great. I am soaking up every second and still can't believe he is real, mine and here. For all of you that have followed my journey to this moment, thank you for all your continued love and support."

Since welcoming her son, Jessie has also taken to social media to share sweet moments the two of them share. Back in February, she posted an adorable Instagram video of Sky interacting with a mirror.

In the Instagram video, Sky wore a maroon onesie and crawled toward a mirror hung on the wall. Jessie told her son “hello,” as he got close to the item.

Sky appeared to be ecstatic about what he saw, as he reached out to the mirror and smiled. He could also be heard letting out a couple of coos while playing with the mirror as Cordelia’s song “Little Life” played in the background.

“It’s like watching your heart crawl around outside of your body. Never known a love like it,” the mom captioned the post.
