Jeremy Swayman Wrote List of Bruins' Criticisms
Jeremy Swayman was transparent about his dislike of last year's arbitration hearing with the Boston Bruins. It is why the restricted free agent elected not to file for arbitration this time around.

During last season, Swayman had this to say about arbitration:
"There’s no ill will on the process, because I understand that. I’m not the first player to go through it. I’m not the last. But I definitely don’t wish it upon any of my friends and teammates moving forward, and I don’t want to do it ever again as well."
Thus, it was already well-known that Swayman was not a fan of the arbitration process. Turns out, it ended up playing a major role in his play last season.
In Amazon's "Faceoff" docuseries, Swayman revealed that he actually wrote a list of the Bruins' criticisms toward him from their arbitration hearing during the 2023 NHL off-season.
Here is what Swayman said on the matter:
"Hearing you're not worthy of what you think you're worthy of, that was hard to hear. You don't forget what was said. I wrote them down, and I looked at them the other day, and I had a couple checkmarks. My biggest knock was how I wasn't trustworthy in the playoffs. Check."

Swayman, of course, cemented himself as the Bruins' starter during the playoffs and was nothing short of excellent. In 12 appearances for the B's during the post-season, he had a 2.15 goals-against average (GAA) and a .933 save percentage (SV%).
Clearly, Swayman had every right to check that criticism off the list.
