Bears CB Jaylon Johnson had a monster performance vs. Titans
The Chicago Bears had a big win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, overcoming a 17-3 halftime deficit to mount a 24-17 victory.
Quite a few players deserve extra recognition following the win, and that includes All-Pro cornerback Jaylon Johnson, who had one of the best games of his career.
Johnson recorded four tackles, including two tackles for loss, two pass breakups and the game-sealing interception of Titans quarterback Will Levis to cap the impressive defensive and special teams comeback for Chicago.
According to Pro Football Focus, Johnson was elite. He allowed just one catch for -2 yards, that game-winning interception, one forced incompletion and a 2.8 passer rating allowed. Johnson was the highest-graded cornerback in the NFL in Week 1.

It was difficult for Levis to get anything going toward Johnson's side of the field. He shut things down and made a couple of big plays, including a touchdown-saving pass breakup on an attempt to receiver Calvin Ridley. Having a shutdown defender like that in the defensive backfield makes a big difference.
With the pass rush improving every day, and the linebackers playing as well as they have been, guys like Johnson are free to do their jobs to the best of their ability. Johnson is one of the best cornerbacks in the league, and the Bears are winning games because of it.
Moving forward, Johnson and the Bears defense need to hold up. Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and the offense have a lot of growing to do, so there will be more moments when the defense (and special teams) will have to pick them up. When it all clicks for everyone, the Bears will be a very good football team. Johnson is among the most important in that group.
