Jared Spurgeon Ties Mikko Koivu's Franchise Record
ST. PAUL - In the Wild's 3-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday, Jared Spurgeon tied a Wild franchise record set by Mikko Koivu.

Koivu has many Wild records but now has Spurgeon tied with him for one of them. Spurgeon entered Thursday's game with 14 NHL seasons under his belt. By skating in last nights game, Spurgeon has now played 15 seasons in the NHL all of them with the Wild.
The former Wild captain played 16 seasons in the NHL and skated in 15 with the Wild. In 1028 career games with the Wild, Koivu recorded 205 goals, 504 assists, and 709 points.
He holds the franchise record in assists, points, and games played.
Spurgeon, 34, has played 868 career games in the NHL, all with the Wild. He has 110 goals, 274 assists, and 384 points in his career. He is second all-time in games played, third in assists, and fourth in points.
