Jamiro Reber Is a World Junior Player Worth Watching

Jamiro Reber is a talented forward who will play for Switzerland in the 2025 World Junior Championship. I saw Reber play in the Five Nations and after that, I thought he would be drafted in 2024, but he wasn’t. Now he’s got a great chance to fix that.

Reber is playing for HV 71. Last season, he ended up with 11 goals and 28 assists in 46 games. He added two points in two playoff games. This season, he has seven goals and seven assists in 25 games.

“We’re pretty good as a team. I have good linemates, and they’ve helped me a lot. I like it there.”

I like players who aren’t afraid to talk about their gifts. Reber does that in a concise way.

“I think my hands and my hockey I.Q. My skating too. Those three,” Reber stated.

Reber is fast, smart, versatile, he probably will play center in this tournament. I’m not sure he will get a lot of pre-tournament hype, but that’s ok, he will have to earn it.

I think he will have a good tournament, and we will be writing about it after, barring injury. I’m confident because he’s proved it to me before.

This is the kind of player that Canadiens can draft mid-to-late and get some value. He’s still 18, and he’s developing in the SHL. Both of those things are desirable. So, if you needed a reason to watch Switzerland, hopefully, I gave you one.
