Jamal Musiala heaps massive praise towards Barcelona wonderkid

It remains true to this day that FC Barcelona continues to house some of football’s finest talents. The Catalan club, despite making a lot of big-money signings in recent years, has finally returned to their roots. Barcelona has previously found a lot of success due to their reliance on La Masia, and they hope to rekindle that faith.

In this latest batch of players, one of the most promising candidates just so happens to be one of the finest products to ever come out of the Barcelona youth system. Still just aged 16, Lamine Yamal is a player who has taken both Europe and the footballing world at large by storm.

His talent and skill have been so unmistakable, in fact, that other top players cannot deny his quality either. In a recent interview with Maximilian Koch, 21-year-old Bayern Munich superstar Jamal Musiala was asked about the player who has impressed him most at the Euros so far and he could not keep himself from praising the Barcelona youngster:

“I liked Lamine Yamal from Spain. I like players who are strong in 1v1 situations, who are brave, and who make the game beautiful.”

This is no light praise, and coming from a top-level player like Musiala, these words of praise may be big for the Barcelona youngster. Musiala himself knows all about the pressures that can be put on aspiring youngsters in the world of football, and for him to see something that special in Lamine Yamal is quite telling.

Both of the two youngsters are hoping to do their best for their respective nations in the European Championship at the moment. Musiala, representing Germany, hopes to overcome Denmark in their first knockout game of the tournament being hosted on German soil.

The Barcelona pearl, on the other hand, is hoping to find success with Spain. La Roja are set to take on Georgia as their first opponents in the knockout stage, and Yamal will be joined by some of his other Barcelona teammates such as Pedri, Fermin Lopez, and Ferran Torres as they look to overcome their Georgian opponents.

Coincidentally, both Yamal and Musiala may not have to wait much longer to see their paths cross. In the event that both teams manage to overcome Georgia and Denmark, their very next game would be against one another in the quarterfinals of the Euros. Thus, a potential clash between the Barcelona and Bayern prodigies may not have to wait much longer.
